'Manage Your Pain' is for anyone who suffers from chronic pain. One in ten people suffer from some form of persisting pain and in the majority of cases there is no hope of a total cure and drugs are not always the answer. However, it is possible to adapt your life so that persistant pain becomes manageable. Does pain interfere with your sleep, work or social life? Do you ever need to rest during the day because of pain? Are you concerned that your doctor has missed something? Have you ever thought: "I can't go on"? If you answer "yes" to any of these questions then 'Manage Your Pain' will help to improve your life. Drawing on the latest research and the authors' extensive medical experience 'Manage Your Pain' explains the practical and positive ways in which you can adapt to chronic pain and manage it so that you can again lead your life. Understanding the causes of pain and understanding it better will help you and your family to minimise the impact it has on your life. This book can help you take the first steps on the path towards recovery from pain.

Input Pain Management Programme - St Thomas' Hospital4
If you, like myself are enroling onto the Input Pain Management programme at St Thomas's Hopsital, London, then this is the book they recommend you to read. You may find the contents helpful, as it includes basic exercises to help increase your mobility, talks about pacing so that you can gain some control over your pain flare ups and helps bring back some normality to your life as a chronic pain sufferer. Like it says in the title - it may help you to 'Manage Your Pain'.

If you have chronic pain, you need this book!5
As soon as I started reading this book, it mirrored exactly what I was going through. I was a page in and thought these people know what they are talking about.
The book is written by a group of doctors and one is the doctor that started the world renowned INPUT programme at St Thomas's Hospital in London. He has since brought the programme to Australia where it has received further acclaim.
The book even has exercises for you to try.
It is an extremely good book and helps you adapt to your pain and I would recommend it to anyone.
