Empower yourself!
As a physiotherapist, I have treated many patients suffering with fibromyalgia. For some, exercise helps a lot, for others, not as much. That's why I feel that every patient that is struggling from fibromyalgia should read books like this one to get as educated as possible about all the treatment options out there for them. I also recommend "The Multifidus Back Pain Solution" (also here at amazon.co.uk) if your fibromyalgia affects your back a lot. It's yet another "tool" that might help you that shows you an exercise you can do at home for your multifidus muscle, shown to be abnormal in back pain sufferers. Get educated, get some answers, and start feeling alive again! Cheers.

3 years ago I was doomed for medical retirement, having had Fibromyalgia for over 12 years I was in constant excrucaiting pain and couldn't sit at a keyboard for 5 mins without tears streaming down my face. I had been seriously contemplating suicide for 3 years, I rarely left the house and when I did I suffered big time.

Dr. St. Amand has given me my life back through this book and I can't even begin to thank him enough, although I still have a few years to go before being completely symptom free even my GP has been amazed at my progress, the pain levels at this point in time have halved, I no longer spend entire nights literally screaming in pain (those used to be at least twice weekly) and a lot of my other symptoms are either significantly reduced or gone altogether.

My son, who inherited Fibromyalgia from me and by the age of 8 was unable to attend school because he was so bad (he was crying his eyes out 10+ hours a day along with terrible panic attacks, dizziness, depression and pain), was back in school within 6 weeks and completely symptom free after 12 months by following the same treatment (it was considerably quicker for him because he hadn't had it anywhere near as long as I have).

I can't recommend this book highly enough, Fibromyalgia can become a horrendous illness for long-term sufferers because it gets progressively worse over time, and it's still seriously misunderstood in the UK. If you've been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, ME or Chronic Fatigue don't think twice, just buy the book, you won't regret it !

What's more, there's a fantastic free online support group in the UK at "http://ukfmsguai.tripod.com" (and there's one in the US too) to help people get up and running with the reversal process which has proven to be invaluable in the early days to seek out and eliminate products that will stop the treatment from working. Gave me a Life
This is the best book I have ever read on FMS - even if the treatment hadn't have worked it was the only book I had ever read that sounded like the writer had sat and listened over and over again very carefully to people with FMS,

When I started the treatment I was bedbound on strong painkillers. Now I am married with a 10 month old daughter and working. I only occasionally take a paracetamol.
