Customer Reviews
A high quality book written for both bulimics & clinicians
Dr Joan Gomez represents the eating disorder of bulimia following a high to low representation. She starts with defining the symptoms of bulimia in a scientific/medical level and then supports her definitions by providing example situations of real life sufferers of the disorder. With this approach the writer reaches the root of the problem, she does not try only to identify it, she tries to solve it. She has adopted the philosophy that in order to solve the problem the sufferer has first to admit that there is an actual problem and then to identify who or what it caused it. She concludes with advice on how to get better and suggests a number of approaches that will prevent bulimia. This book is not going to be the cure of your bulimia, it is going to help you find why you may have bulimia and will initiate the cure procedure. It is a high quality book useful for both bulimics and clinicians.
