With a number of well-publicised deaths caused by food induced anaphylaxis over the past decade, it is now being recognised that preventative measures as well as prompt treatment have an essential part to play in living with this life threatening condition. Food manufacturers, retailers and the food and catering industries are making many positive changes to their practices and labelling to minimise the risk of allergens reaching susceptible people. Expert dietitian Tanya Wright combines her professional and personal experience of severe food allergy to give you a unique source of practical advice, including many charts and tables detailing foods to avoid and replacements for them.
