Amazon.co.uk Review
Move to a healthier lifestyle without moving away from grilled foods with the George Foreman Junior Grill. Already a phenomenal success in the US where it has sold over 25 million units across the range, the George Foreman Junior Grill is a healthy alternative to conventional grilling. Whatever you grill--be it meat, fish, vegetables, fruit, seafood or even sandwiches--any excess fat or liquids is channelled down the grooves in the grill and into a collection tray at the front of the unit. Also, as the machine sandwiches the food between two grills, cooking time is also reduced as both sides cook at once and spitting is practically nonexistent because the food is encased in the grill. The instruction manual lists the different cooking times for different food.
Operation is simple; plug it in and switch it on at the plug socket. The heat indicator light will then go out when it is ready to use. The Junior Grill has enough room to cook two good-sized quarter-pounder burgers or about four regular burgers with a bit of room in two of the corners. The grill also features a rather handy bun warmer that is accessed by lifting up the clear plastic cover on the lid of the grill. There's enough room in the bread warmer to squeeze in two burger buns cut in half.
If you're not too concerned about the amount of fat you intake from conventionally grilled foods, the George Foreman grill will change this: for example, the amount of fatty liquid collected in the drip tray from two quarter-pounder burgers with 92% meat content is unbelievable. And even though a large quantity of liquid is collected in the tray, burgers remain tasty and not at all dry.
The included grooved spatulas make it easy to remove the food from the grill as they fit perfectly between the grooves on the grill. A new addition to the grill is a set of removable extension feet that raise the grilling machine a further half an inch from the work surface enabling foods such as tacos or pitta bread to be placed at the front for easy transfer of any grilled fillings.
Cleaning the grill is a bit more time consuming than cleaning a grill pan as you can't simply dunk it in a bowl of soapy water and attack it with a scouring pad. That said it does have a non-stick coating so you simply wipe it down with a damp cloth or kitchen paper.
The George Foreman Junior Grill is a must have for anyone who uses a grill on a regular basis as it will cut down on your fat intake instantly without you needing to cut out your favourite grilled foods. Although the grill isn't that big, a smaller Baby version is also available. --Ben Curtis

Bought for vegetarian student at digs
Student at Uni -classic grubby kitchens, no meat cooking tool
take away into room, bring out to cook veggie kebabs and quorn cutlets.
Brilliant
lasted the full 3 years and still going
It's good, but...
I just got this today. Now, maybe it takes some getting used to, but I'm just not fully happy with it. It's very difficult to clean fully, though the food I cooked was alright. I may have undercooked it slightly, as I took it off when there was grease and such burning onto the heating element. I also burned two of my fingers, but that might have been due to my rushing.
If you want one of these - GO LARGE
I shall keep this succinct. The George is a fabulous piece of kit but:
If you want a George spend a little extra and buy the slightly larger model. More versatile, practical etc. Be aware if you do get this model. The clip that holds the 'bun warmer' lid down is very flimsy. Something I found out to my cost!
