Worth 100 Snow Patrols4
I first heard of Lifehouse in the US - the track 'Hanging By a Moment' in 2001 but it took me about 2 years after that to find out the name of the band and subsequently listen to the great 'No Name Face'. To be honest, if it wasn't for my extensive time out there for the last five/six years it's unlikely I would have heard of any of these type of bands as they don't get played here - radio stations and media too busy tripping over themselves to hype the likes of the Kooks and all those other generic rubbish indie-rock 'bands'.
I would agree with the review by A music fan "4 strong songs to start off with. The rest of the songs on the album are good but do not provide as much impact as the first 4 songs". As far as the Snow Patrol comparisons go there is no comparison - this band is in a different class.
The opening tracks 'Come Back Down' and 'You & Me' are solid openers showing off Jason Wade's great vocals and songwriting skills to the fullest. But it's the track 'Blind' that has you scratching around for adequate superlatives to describe it. I've personally decided that it is my favourite track of all time. What makes the track so great is not just the melody or the lyrics, it's the sheer emotion that Wade puts into it which feels gut-wrenching and soul-searching - and above all REAL. 'I loved you more than you could ever know / and part of me died when I let you go'. That's something anyone who's been through a painful breakup can relate to - on paper it may not have the impact but in song it's devastating.
I really wish they would coome over here soon or I may try and catch them when I'm out in the US next. I'm sure with the right promotion this band could do really well in the charts here.
I would recommend this album highly to anyone with any musical taste whatsoever. 'Blind' alone is worth the asking price - the UK version of Amazon doesn't have the listening capability for this album so go to Amazon.com (the US one) for a listen if you really need convincing. Definitely my favourite band, but I'd also recommend anything by THREE DOORS DOWN, VERTICAL HORIZON & BREAKING BENJAMIN.

Breath-Taking "Lifehouse"....Best Melodic Rock Heard5
"Lifehouse" has an incredible sound...the music they perform seems to lead you in a world of peace and happyness. This Cd is a perfect soundtrack to remeber the highlights of your life with the "ups" and "downs".
This is a "rare" album where I can listen to all the songs and can't find any weak track. The breath-taking tracks are "Blind", "Days Go By", "You And Me", "Come Back Down". If You Like Dishwalla and Remy Zero, you must own this Cd of Lifehouse. I've been in the music industry for over 55 years...so I can say when I hear a talent, these "Lifehouse" are amazing.

I am outraged.5
I have just read someone compare lifehouse to snow patrol. This is like comparing a luxury and beautifully atmospheric ski lodge in Aspen, to a bleak brick wall that someone has scribbled a small and pathetic love poem on.

Buy the album, and no name face (stanley climberfall is not as good - but still in a different league from snow patrol) and I'm confident that you will agree that my allusion is justified.
