Customer Reviews
for when the keyboard is a bore..
this product is excellent for playing old games and new. i never had any problems installing the software (which comes with the adapter on a 3" disc) and neither will most people since almost all cd and dvd drives play and run 3" cds.
id reccomend this to anybody that wants to play games like gta with a control pad opposed to using the keyboard and mouse and also with roms and emulators.
in my opinion the ps1/2 control pad outshines any pc gamepad ive ever used.
Works on Vista 64-bit
Just wanted to let customers know that this product works fine on Vista x64; when I moved from XP to Vista I was lucky that my other (single slot) adapter still worked but I needed a new one to play 2+ player PES2009. I know there have been issues with similar products not working on Vista, let alone the 64-bit version but rest assured as soon as I plugged this in it was recognised and the drivers installed automatically (no need for the disk).
Works On Vista 32bit
Just to clarify, I have a fairly new laptop running Windows Vista 32Bit Ultimate, and the device installs automatically. However, I also installed the stuff from the disk.
The controller works fine, this adapter allows the use of analog sticks if you can configure them right... (trying to use them in GTA IV failed for me).
I personally bought this to play GTA IV with my PS2 controller, but with hindesight I would have bought the XBOX360 Controller for windows as it is compatible with GTA IV... (The buttons, change from when your in a car, to when you walking, to when your doing other stuff) so its hard to configure the PS2 controller buttons with keyboard buttons to fit all of the different modes of play in GTA IV
