Manufacturer's Description
This attachment is excellent for preparing salads, vegetables, slicing cheese, carrots nuts etc. Because it dispenses what has been sliced or shredded into your own container and it can be used continuously as there is no need to stop and empty food processor style bowls. It has two reversible discs for fine and coarse shredding or slicing and a fine julienne chipping disc. The lid also incorporates a bean slicer. The shredding and slicing discs have separate, very sharp knife blades which have been welded to the discs and the shredding holes have sharpened edges. All of this produces the best of results and will be guaranteed to impress.

MAKES FAST WORK OF COOKING IN BULK
Excellent when I'm cooking for the freezer/in large amounts. It's easy to assemble and dismantle for thorough cleaning. I wouldn't bother with it just for one meal - but that's just me. An unbeatable addition to the Kenwood Chef attachment range.
Works well.
This gadget for the Chef works quite well. However, the attachment supplied that is supposed to make chips makes rather thin french fry type chips that fry up to almost nothing!
The attachment is well built & robust which is what you would expect from Kenwood.
Very high speed!
.
I've just received my order today and having washed the parts thoroughly, I set about using it right away!
I have found it chops thick and thin slices of vegetables brilliantly. It chops uniformly and accurately - never had leeks looking so neat before. The speed it processes the food is mega quick. I chops continuously and the greatest advantage over a food processor is that food continually passes through the chute and into the Kenwood bowl, allowing you to easily separate e.g. different types of vegetables.
One thing I will say is that it is an acquired technique and the order you do the various functions is mightly important to get consistent results. You will also need good storage space facilities too; the boxes for the attachments tend to be rather bulky. There are other cutting discs available - I personally intend to get the medium chipper, which will speed up making homemade chips.
Overall - I'm glad I bought this tool for my Kenwood Chef.
