Customer Reviews
Very useful and clearly advice
Marketing on a Beermat is simply the best book on the subject I have read, and is specially indicated for start-ups or small-businesses. The author gives a strategic approach to marketing, that it is based on examples of different types of companies (which is genial in my opinion because people can learn the concepts following the examples). This approach makes us understand the true behind marketing and study the different options we have to grow our practice. In my personal experience, as a consulting engineer in the construction industry, I had some problems in my marketing efforts, especially with my positioning in this competitive market. This book made me think about the ways I could positioning myself so my message could be perceived by my clients. I recommend this book to any aspiring entrepreneur or business people who need friendly advice and help with their companies.
Great book
Great book. Especially useful for any non-marketeers having to do marketing as it gives you a simple-to-understand, yet effective system for thinking about your marketing. Written in a down-to-earth, approachable style. Full of practical tips you can use straight away.
A "must read" for start-ups
Simple, straight-forward, good advice, in a readable format. Sadly, a bit too late for me because I was already some way down the line in starting our business, but it was good to read that I had done some things right! (Not everything though!!)
This is an ideal book for somebody who has just come up with an idea for a business and is not quite sure how to go about getting customers. Having said that, I would also recommend it to anyone who thinks they know how to find customers, just to check that they've thought of everything, or at least a wide range of ideas.
