Just too good!
I used to have my mum's old hand blender, a Moulinex that I thought did the job fine. I've also got a 'proper' food processor too, which has both a jug blender and blitzer bowl. So I felt a bit indulgent buying the Braun multiquick as well. I was persuaded to give it a punt by the idea of being able to crush ice (yay smoothies!), which I'm not supposed to do with the the blitzy gadgets I've already got.

Since I got the Braun and tried it out, I've been utterly converted. It's easy to clean, quick to use, but more than that, it *really* performs! The mini chopper makes really smooth sauces and salsas in seconds. The blender does such an even blend - way better than my old blender which used to leave the odd chunky bit stuck in a corner. The ice crusher just does! The blitzer does a really good job, and you can shove the dirty end straight in a dishwasher, and there's still a whisk and big choppy bowl in the pack.

What else can I say? The Moulinex has gone to blitzer heaven and I haven't used the food processor blender jug since. Nice one Braun!

It's brilliant, I Love it,
This well made sturdy piece of kit has become my absolute favorite kitchen gadget, that is just about capable of all my needs, so my kenwood smoothie maker and large food processor have been relegated to the back of the kitchen cupboard.

It can make enough smoothie to fill four 4 glasses in one go.

It does an excellent job of mixing light batters and whipping cream ( no more than 400 ml at a time), also you can only whip upto four egg whites at a time).

I have read other reviews that complain of water ingress into the base of the two containers, but all you have to do is pull the bases off, (they double as lids) so problem solved.

The wall hanger has a space for the hand blender, and a small oval hole (which had me scratching my head for a few hours, as I thought it was for one of the attachments) is actually for the power cord, you just fold the cord, push it through the hole and the plug sits on top.

The one thing above all else that I love about this product is that you have not got to attach a troublesome lid (onto either container) that needs to be pushed down, twisted and then clicked into place, the parts just sit straight on top, so this item would be a great choice for someone with arthritis in their hands, and also it makes it simple just to throw in extra ingrediants without having to fiddle around.

When changing attachments like the wisk, you just have to push two small buttons to change over.

It is in my honest opinion that I would not be able to find a better multi hand blender than the Braun MR5550 M HC&BC.

I had a very good food processor and blender but they all took up too much space. I'd seen the Braun MR5550 M HC&BC advertised and thought hmm should I replace all with just this? I did and O Mama what it can't blend, beat, whisk, chop, mince and mash, especially with all the extra tools!! It is wey more powerful than my other appliances and in such a quick time. My soups are better..everyone drops by for my never ending..such a novelty..smoothies etc etc. I wish I could hang more up though then it would be the - ultimate super efficient-couldn't be without-space saving all-in-one blender/processor.
