This book covers Carlton Ware from the 1930's onwards based on the impressed or shape numbers. This includes patterns such as Anemone, Oak Tree, Buttercup, Foxglove, Apple Blossom, Hydrangea, Guinness, Walking Ware, etc. All embossed ware is covered. A list of the shape numbers with description and a price guide is provided as well as photographs of some of the pieces. This book is complementary to "A pocket guide to Carlton Ware". Our aim with this book is to provide valuable and relevant up to date information about the embossed and related range of Carlton Ware. We have concentrated on the Carlton Ware produced from the 1930's onwards and the contents of this book provide a comprehensive source of some previously unpublished information on shape numbers and names of Carlton Ware. The contents of the book include an Introduction, a brief history of Carlton Ware, pictures of Carlton Ware Back-Stamps, the Catalogue & Price Guide which contains the bulk of the book, how to recognise Fakes and a chapter by Frank Salmon entitled "1997 - A New Beginning". Compiling a price guide on such a large variety and spectrum of wares that Carlton Ware produced has been a daunting task. We were aware that we weren't going to please all of the people all of the time. But, we felt it was important to take on this challenging project. Our task was compounded by the fact that this is the first time that such a comprehensive guide has been written.
