EXCELLENT FOR INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED PRACTITIONERS3
In my opinion this yoga dvd has positive and negative attributes. Claire takes you through different sections which challenge different parts of the body and mind, and at the end there are relaxation and meditation sections to relax you. You can follow the main vinyasa flow section or make up your own and follow that. Claire has also included a half hour am yoga session and a 25 min pm yoga session, as well as a beginners section. I have yet to try those.

On the plus side, this dvd is really informative and there is also an instruction book included which is not present in other yoga dvds. She is a calm and fascinating instructor to watch, mainly because of the postures she can get herself into.
The postures are a challenge to say the least, so I would suggest that the more advanced pratitioner would really enjoy it. Not many dvds allow for the more advanced challenges in yoga. Flowing through postures is lovely to do and you can really feel that your body and mind are working together, especially as there are so many balancing postures.
The music is calm and serene to work to and on the whole this is one of the best yoga dvd's I have tried.
On the negative side though, this dvd does not really specify the intensity of it. I would not say I was a beginner but due to back problems the postures demonstrated are too much for me and I am struggling to keep up. I have not looked at the beginners part of the dvd but, for the money it is, I would suggest beginners look elsewhere first and master the principles of yoga.
Overall, it is worth the money for those who have the ability to mould their body quite comfortably into more extreme and challenging postures.

A Well Produced Yoga DVD4
I bought this DVD based on recommendations here and some clips I saw on youtube, this DVD is similar to Shiva Rea DVD's and that's why I like it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because some details about this DVD are misleading - there are no real 170 minutes of footage on this DVD , all the short practices are mainly footage from the main yoga class except 2 or 3 short segments , the total time of practice that does not repeat itself on this DVD is 90 minutes plus some bonus material , it was annoying to find that out because this DVD is very expensive and I thought that at least it has a lot of material on it. Luckily , there are a lot of positive things about this DVD : it is very well produced with nice music and the practices are fun to do and include some very advanced poses like : crow , side crow, forearm balance , headstand etc.. there are also 2 sun salutations segments , 5 standing poses segments , 2 arm balancing segments , 2 backbending and seated poses segments plus some more. She doesn't hold poses very long though , and there are some modifications that you can see in the modifications segment. From the menu you can choose : A.M Yoga , P.M Yoga , Vinyasa Flow Class , Interview, Creative Flow Dance (this is the clip from youtube and it is seperate from the practices) , Beginners Class, Modifications , Sequence Selection (matrix- you can choose any segment in any order you want), audio settings (music & instruction, music only, instruction only).Sushumna (some commercial of Claire's clothing line or something), Credits. You can choose any segment you want from the main flow to play in any order you want in the sequence selection option, but it's annoying that you can't choose the other 4 segments that are not in the main flow through that option and once again the A.M / P.M & Beginners Classes are made from the main flow segments, I'd suggest real beginners to find another DVD as Claire really rushes through poses. Overall I really like this DVD , it reminds of "Yoga Shakti" and I'd suggest it to people with some experience in yoga.

Deep Deep Practice5
This is one of the most accomplished yoga DVDs I've practiced with for a long time (since the David Swenson short forms). I've done a lot of Ashtanga and I found this DVD clearly explained, and really well put together. The vinyasas are really beautiful. If you're an experienced yogi or yogini (even if you're new to Vinyasa yoga, coming from another form) this is a great way to extend your practice.
