Great fun!
I am a great fan of the zombie fiction that the Permuted Press has published and on a whim decided to give something a bit different a go; I am delighted I did. This is a highly enjoyable collection of short stories which, for the most part, are very well written. I sometimes struggle to really embrace short stories, but I felt I was able to get lost in these stories in a way that I normally reserve for novels. The collection is also given credibility by Steve Alten (Author of the excellent Meg books)who has written an introduction and contributed an enjoyable story of his own. The book is a throwback, and nod of appreciation, to the B movies of the fifties and successfully captures the essence of this era of sci-fi - often with tongue firmly in cheek. My only criticism is the stories have been sloppily edited with many typos left in.
