Product Description

Charting the wayward tale of the UK's most notorious group and written with full co-operation of the band, this is the ultimate rock and roll story and is destined to become a classic of the genre. From rehab in a Thai monastery to riots at the Astoria, the tabloid expose of Kate Moss to countless brushes with the law, the book is often funny, sometimes tragic, but always totally compelling. Currently riding high with a critically acclaimed album "Shotter's Nation" under their belt, a successful arena tour of Europe and the UK completed and a host of big festival dates lined up for the summer, "The Baby Shambles" are enjoying their most successful year to date.

A must have5
What an amazing read. Opened my mind to the trials and tribulations of the band. Excellently written. You must have this book

'Beg, Steal or Borrow - The Official Babyshambles Story'5
I've just finished the book and it's great! - not your general run of the mill 'just big up the band' biography at all. It has interviews with all the band members throughout, and the author is a close friend of the band, so knows his stuff.

It's not all about Pete and his addiction, which many books previously have concentrated on. There's loads in there about all the band members - how they all met, how they joined the band and how their relationships developed. There's even some interviews with ex-Babyshambler Patrick Walden too - some really funny ones! And he talks about why he left the band and there's a bit at the end about what he's up to now which is really interesting.

There's some really funny stories in there, and some touching sad tales to - a real overview of the band. One of my favourite stories is Pete, Adam and Drew sneaking an old scooter through a hotel reception in London, getting it in the lift and then riding it up and down the hotel corridors much to the Manager's horror!

- A definate winner for Babyshambles fans. Highly recommended.

I have loved this book and havn't wanted to finish it, so I am restricting myself to a few pages at a time. It is so refreshing to review the bands story through the perspective of those who were central to its creation rather than off the wall narrative. This makes for a slightly disjointed and rangey but all together more interesting read offering greater resonance and perspective. Humour and tears course through every page and the pictures are great too. have fun reading it
