Popular in music halls, pubs and family gatherings up and down the country from the Second World War and onwards, these songs all feature on TER's recording of the Original London Cast production of 'Underneath The Arches'. The musical tribute to the 1930's and 40's music hall comedians Flanagan and Allen, by a next generation of comics they influenced, Roy Hudd, Patrick Garland and Brian Glanville. It's a heart warming celebration and a jolly old knee's up in the traditional sense. It is also the last recorded appearance of Chesney Allen himself.

This recording is a trip down memory lane for both those who lived it first hand and those with fond memories of hearing these songs passed on to them.
