Excellent Ironing Board
The only drawback of this board is it's size - you need plenty of space to set it up but it does mean that you have acres on which to iron larger items such as towels and bedding. The way the holder works takes a bit of getting used to but is fine once you've done it a couple of times.

Nice addition to have the water collector with it as well.

Excellent concept!
Be careful, not all steam generator irons fit the steam unit holder as I found out. My tefal generator luckily just fits at an angle.
Also not sure if I had a faulty board as water seeped through on to the ironing board cover (after emptying the bowl) after storing upright overnight. I now have a replacement board and so far so good!!

Brabantia Steam Ironing Board
As steam generator irons produce a large amount of steam compared with "ordinary" steam irons, a purpose designed board was required.

This product deals with the problems encountered with other types of ironing boards deemed suitable for use with steam irons, ie, rusting of the mesh surface under the ironing board cover, and condensed steam dripping onto the floor.

Steam from the iron freely passes through the board surface into a plastic board base. On completion of ironing the board is tilted towards the pointed end and all the collected water drains into a clip-on container, and is easily poured away.

A further great design feature is the steam generator support which allows the iron to rest at board height for ease of use.

Together with all the above and a good range of height adjustment, this is the ideal board when using a steam generator iron.
