Customer Reviews
Cheap and not very cheerful
Pros: Cheap
Cons: VERY SLOW
I use this card primarily for storage in my MP3 player, and as a backup for my other (Kingston) cards in my camera. For the MP3 player it's fairly adequate since read speed doesn't need to be very high. However deleting and replacing the music with 2GB of fresh MP3s takes a mammoth 60 minutes (approximately)! Hard to believe but true.
I've also used this in my Canon Ixus 60 camera. It's quite OK for taking casual snaps. On the other hand, video is very stop-start and it just can't keep up when taking photos in continous mode. The camera operates at about 2 photos per second at best, when the camera's capable of 3 per second.
Conclusion: Unless you're on a very tight budget, do yourself a favour and pay a few pounds extra for a Kingston, Sandisk, or similar. Even the slowest Kingston and Sandisk cards are WAY faster than this.
fantastic!
this card was brilliant value and worked really well in my camera, the speed was great,it was user friendly and a great price so top marks from me!
It works, and it's cheap..
Works great in my Palm TX PDA. I used it for MP3 and photo storage, also swapping it into a camera sometimes.
Never had any problems with it, and i suspect the person who thought it was taking an hour to transfer/delete or whatever was using USB1.1
USB2.0 IS A MUST. Like 3x faster for this. Readers that are USB2.0 compatible are available on ebay for £5 with postage, just make sure you have a USB 2.0 Port available.
