Very good add-on to the DS!5
I've only just found these on Amazon but have previously bought 2 of these and 4 of the previous (M3) version direct from China. They are an excellent bit of kit and are very favourably priced here on Amazon.

My kids now have the ability to use their DS' as an MP3 player, video player and games console. I have moved across a number of their games onto this one adapter and Mini SD Card - saves them taking all the separate games with them. I am led to believe that 'other types back-ups' could be used if that's your kind of thing ;-)

Looks like I'm just about to order another two for my nephews!!

Hard to use2
Ok first the good:

A friend of mine has one of these, I've seen it in action. It rocks, there's some great software out there. That's why I got one.

Additionally, I ordered it yesturday and it came today. That's some speedy postage.

Now, the bad:

Well first off the product claims to work on any OS. And I believe that. So long as you have the drivers for the SD card reader. Win 98SE does not have these drivers on the default install. No big deal... I'm sure there's a CD in this box somewhere with drivers on it... right? Right? Wrong.

Despite claiming that it comes with a CD with a manual on it, I certainly didn't get one.

Is that a huge deal? Well let's see. Google brings up the N4DS website no problem. The manual is clearly on the website. So what's the problem? First off, the manual is confusing. I can follow it, but I'm a tech savvy 20-something guy - certainly no-one else in my family could. The website has a big graphic labled "drivers" that doesn't seem to be a link. But in the end I found drivers... except their software drivers for using the N4DS not installing the card reader. So no support there.

The product itself comes with a big list of what it can do, but no hint as to where to go to get any homebrew software. For me (with friends who already have software who can point me where to go) this isn't too much of a hassel. But it's hardly the mark of a good product.

Overall, I'm less than impressed, but feel that this might be more of a reflection on the seller shipping an incomplete product than the product itself.

Top Card4
I consider myself a bit of a novice when it comes to this sort of stuff but it was very easy to use and I bought a 2Gb Micro SD card for £4.50 so it wasn't too much more to spend. Card works a treat and is very straightforward to use.
Best thing you can buy after a DS.
