| There are basically two types of filters - ring filters and linear (or rectangular) filters. I have started with a selection of Hoya ring filters and Cokin (very popular) linear filters. The selection will be extended and refined. You do not need a vast array of filters with a digital SLR camera. Most important are perhaps a UV, or Skylight, filter and a Polariser.
