The third book in the New York Times bestselling urban fantasy-thriller series starring sexy bounty hunter and witch, Rachel Morgan. If you make a deal with the devil, can you still save your soul? To avoid becoming the love-slave of a depraved criminal vampire, bounty-hunter and witch, Rachel Morgan, is cornered into a deal that could promise her an eternity of suffering. But eternal damnation is not Rachel's only worry. Her vampire roommate, Ivy, has rediscovered her taste for blood and is struggling to keep their relationship platonic, her boyfriend, Nick, has disappeared -- perhaps indefinitely, and she's being stalked by an irate pack of werewolves. And then there's also the small matter of the turf war raging in Cincinnati's underworld; one that Rachel began and will have to navigate before she has the smallest hope of preserving her own future.

Review
'action packed ! chick-lit with a supernatural twist.' The Times 'A spellbinding blend of sharp wit and vivid imagination. A wonderfully fun romp through the supernatural world.' Kelly Armstrong 'Discovering a new series like this is like finding buried treasure.' Diana Gabaldon

About the Author
The only girl in a large family of boys, former tomboy Kim Harrison invented the first Brigadier General Barbie in self-defence. She shoots a very bad game of pool and rolls a very good game of dice. When not at her keyboard, she enjoys lounging on the couch with a bowl of popcorn watching action movies with The-Guy-In-The-Leather-Jacket. She plays her Ashiko drum when no one is listening, and is hard to find when the moon is new.

great fun4
This book sees the further adventures of Rachel Morgan, a sexy and witty heroine who is much put upon by her choice of house-mate (Ivy, living vampire with attitude and great desire to be rather more to Rache than just a housemate), colleagues (Jenks, her Pixy sidekick, and Ivy again -together these 3 make up Vampiric Charms, an all round butt-kicking supernatural detective service, thats unfortunate name means it ends up in the phone book under Escort services). The main events centre on Rachel trying to excape a deal with a demon who wants her soul and her services in the "Ever-after" as his familiar, in return for a favour where he helped jail Piscary - a mafiosoesque vampire - in the previous installment in the series. Rachel really doesn't want to deliver, and while attempting to renege on the deal manages to free the demon's current familiar -an Elf who has been in his power for a thousand years. It's all good, action packed adventure, and as an added bonus, Rache has managed to get rid of her wet human boyfriend and takes up with the very sexy vamp, Kisten - a well written and very appealing yin for Rachel's yang.
The protaganist is spunky and witty but has a vulnerable side that makes her an appealing heroine. I hope the author has plenty more of this series up her sleeve.

Every Witch Has Her Day...4
The third in Ms Harrisons series sees Rachel Morgan face more complications and twists than ever.

Sporting a demon mark, being a `Runner`, fighting of the advances of her vampire room mate and keeping secrets from her Pixy partner are just some of the better parts of her life.

Once again Rachel Morgan is faced with bad guys out to get her and an ever complicated friendship group which is starting to feel the strain.

More sharp wit, more great charactor interaction and a twisting plot that makes you feel like you`re driving down a winding country lane or on a wild rollercoaster.

If you`ve read the first 2 books in the series you`ll love this and if you haven`t read the first 2 - why not?

This book is absolutely great and makes it hard to stop reading until you reach the end and realise you want more.

However do NOT read this one without reading the first 2 in the series or it may not make much sense.

So if you have yet to read `Dead Witch Walking` & `The Good The Bad & The Undead` then do yourselves a favour and read them.

If you`ve read those 2 then you have to read this because the series just gets better and better.

This was a gem of a find and I look forward to the next chapter in the life of Rachel Morgan and company.

Every Witch Way But Dead4
Every Which Way But Dead finds Rachel Morgan and the gang fighting off Big Al and rescuing his prior familiar, Ceri. Rachel makes some unlikely alliances and deals in this book providing the fodder for future plots. As well as this, Nick is AWOL and Rachel is left wondering if he ever really cared about her at all.

The book was pretty good; it was longer than the previous ones but I felt like the plot was a bit slow to get off the ground. There were some fun bits at the start but it soon dragged on... the story just meandered far too much on mundane matters in the first half. Once the plot got going I enjoyed the Rachel/Trent stuff the most -- it was the most tense.

There's some new characters introduced here, I particularly loved David the insurance Were. He's someone I hope sticks around. I also thought the scenes with Big Al were classic (as usual); Harrison has a very interesting take on demons. I find it hilarious that he wants a familiar to make him tea as much as to cause untold amounts of evil!

I love Trent. Things were a bit very slow until he turned up, along with him came the action! He's a very enigmatic character and we also learn more about how he's connected to Rachel's father and the like. As usual Trent's scenes with Rachel are the highlight of the book -- they really spark off each other. The childish bickering between them is hilarious, especially because they wouldn't lower themselves to be that way with anyone else. It's amusing.

One thing that annoyed me was the constant apologising from the characters. Argh! If I had a drink every time a character said 'sorry' in this book I would have passed out by chapter three. They say it every two freaking seconds. I found it incredibly annoying. I don't like Kisten either and just rolled my eyes every time precious page time was wasted on such a cliched moron. I find the person he's supposed to be here hard to reconcile with the idiot of the first book, first impressions count, it seems.
