Ines Urso is not pleased. After dragging herself out of bed and running to the airport at 5 am, Thomas Argeneau has the nerve to ignore her! Here she's gone through all this trouble, and disrupted her carefully planned life, and he acts like she's not even there. Once she tracks him down, she's going to give him a piece of her mind - if she can ignore his charming good looks long enough. When Thomas opens his hotel room door to an irate woman, he knows he's in big trouble. But it's not his fault no one told him he was going to have a partner! He's determined to make it up her though, because he's starting to believe she's going to have a permanent place in his life. On a wild search to track down his aunt and with his entire family descending upon them, Thomas and Ines are finding out that when it comes to happily ever after, no one does it quite like the Argeneaus.

A great vampire romance.
Brothers Etienne and Bastien Argeneau worry about their missing mom Marguerite and her sleuthing partner Tiny who vanished in England while on a case to uncover the biological mother of a client. Bastien, the powerful CEO of Argeneau Enterprises, sends their cousin Thomas, who was raised by Aunt Marguerite, to investigate why she stopped contacting them and failed to return for the birth of her grandchild.
Bastien also sends his best London employee Inez Urso to assist Thomas. Meanwhile he calls his friend techie Herbert Langford who can pinpoint where a cell phone is once the device is activated. Herb tells Thomas his aunt is in Amsterdam. Bastien tells him there is no time to send him blood if he leaving immediately so he needs to bite Inez and then wipe out her memory. Reluctantly he agrees he kisses her and bites her, but his effort to wipe out her memory fails. She locks herself in the bathroom while Bastien informs him that a vampire cannot erase the memory of a human lifemate. Now all Thomas has to do is obtain blood, find his aunt in Amsterdam and persuade Inez they belong together forever the first two seem easy compared to the Inez scenario.
Fans of the fabulous Argeneau vampire romances (see THE ACCIDENTAL VAMPIRE) will appreciate the lead couple who are a great pairing as he fears rejection by his stunned lifemate and she feels she is not pretty enough for a hunk like him. The vampire species seems genuine as it successfully lives and works amidst mortals while the investigation is top rate as the clues go full circle and Inez's life is in jeopardy!!! I'd also recommend reading Tino Georgiou's bestselling novel--The Fates--if you haven't yet!!
On the trail of a missing vampire
This is another episode in Lynsay Sands' Argeneau vampire series, with Thomas Argeneau as the hero. Thomas is one of the younger Argeneau Immortals and he thinks that the others see him as rather an aimless kid, despite being 200 years old. When the family release that Thomas's aunt Marguerite has gone missing he is the only one able to drop everything and go to London, where she was last seen, to pick up her trail. Bastien, Thomas's cousin, arranges for one of his UK employees, Inez Urso, to help with the search.
Thomas realises as soon as he meets Inez that she is his lifemate. However their mission to find Marguerite means he can't concentrate just on her but has to follow any leads for his missing Aunt. They travel to Amsterdam and then to York in England on the trail of Marguerite. Unfortunately someone else seems to be trying to stop them and is occasionally taking control of Inez and wiping her memories. Can they find Marguerite, can Inez be kept safe - and how will she take the news that Thomas is a vampire and that he's her destined lifemate?
The Argeneau series is generally good fun and written in a lively way with reasonable pacing. This book, however, was rather a disappointment to this reader. Firstly the overall sub-plot, that of the search for Marguerite, wasn't resolved; not only that, the identity of the baddie or baddies wasn't revealed so the book didn't feel completed. Most of the action seemed to be various Argeneaus phoning each other up to talk to each other or Thomas and Inez sitting at a café in various cities. The descriptions of Amsterdam were good but the lack of meatiness in the plot meant that this book wasn't very satisfying. Fans of the series will enjoy it but it isn't one of the better offerings in this series.

Lynsay Sands
Never a flaw to her stories. They are always tied to each other but each unique in their own special way. There's never a dull moment and each of her stories have their own humerous side. The stories actually pull you in making it hard to put the book down once you start to read. Definately a recomendation! Along with every other Argeneau novels and Immortal Hunter novels.
