Customer Reviews
Excellent, well presented story
This book changed my son's attitude about bats! It has been such a wonderful addition to our home collection. I have also purchased it for several nieces, nephews & friends. Beautiful illustrations -- touching story & FUN to read! You & your children will love it!
BEAUTIFUL TEACHING BOOK
I read this story to my class of 4 year olds today. They were mesmorised by the poignancy of both the pictures and heart warming story. My classroom assistant even had a tear in her eye at one point!! A fantastic, wonderful book to share with others.
A definate favourite
This is my daughters all time favourite book. We were lucky enough to buy a copy when it was first published, which included the free soft toy of Stellaluna. This toy became her soulmate and they were inseperable. Stella became scruffy in a way that only love can do. She was even brave enough to lend Stella to a friend when he had to go to hospital. Sadly, Stella left us in the middle of a jungle in Thailand 3 years ago while we were travelling on a train. A sudden gust of wind sucked her out of my daughters hands and in that moment she took flight and joined her fellow bats in freedom. It was one of the most moving moments of my life but also the most heartbraking for my daughter. Stella, we will never forget you. Now my daughter is an avid collecter of bats and goes on bat walks organised by our local conservation society. Thankyou for all the joy you have given us.
