The Economics of Money, Banking, and Financial Markets heralded a dramatic shift in the teaching of the money and banking course in its first edition, and today it is still setting the standard. By applying an analytical framework to the patient, stepped-out development of models, Frederic Mishkin draws students into a deeper understanding of modern monetary theory, banking, and policy. His landmark combination of common sense applications with current, real-world events provides authoritative, comprehensive coverage in an informal tone students appreciate. Mishkin’s previous post as Executive Vice President and Director of Research at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York lends an insiders-view that helps to demystify this key institution for students.

Customer Reviews
Great book
Great book, it explains economics concepts in a very easy to understand way. Good problems at end of the chapter. Great resource for business and economics students.
Excellent intro to banking and finance
Mishkin does an excellent job in introducing the student to the intricate world of banking and finance. He achieves this by taking the reader one step at a time and explaining the concepts thoroughly and by means of illustrative examples. Beware that this book is really introductory, so dont expect any fancy maths or econometric models inside. For that you would need to look elsewhere. But overall, Mishkin has a story to tell his audience and he makes the perfect story-teller :)) well-recommended!
it's good..
it's good. but the cover page was folded. I suggest the sender exercise more caution with packaging.
