Will Randall is "the teacher who travels" and as in "Solomon Time", this is a heart-warming account of how one man's enthusiasm and old-fashioned desire to do good have helped to preserve a community.

Better than my wildest expectations!!5
This book is fantastic! cannot recommend it highly enough! after reading approximately 20 pages i could not put it down and was already dreading the end of the book. i savoured each chapter and re read many of them because i enjoyed them so much. having had a love affair with india for many years , this book identified many of the emotions i have felt whilst visiting india. it is an honest, poignant, touching and funny account of the ups and downs of life in india. it made me laugh many times and the end made me cry (embarassing when on a domestic flight from gatwick to manchester!)Unlike mr Randall i struggle to find adequate words to express my emotions and feelings, but i just want to spread the word that this is fantastic , easy and enjoyable to read and i just wish it was 5 times longer!! i really hope Mr Randall goes back to india and gives us a follow up.

Warm hearted read that has made me want to go to India!5
I bought the book as the reviews on Amazon were so good, and am glad that I took their advice. A well written, lighthearted travel book that genuinely draws you in, I found myself laughing a lot and was disappointed when i had finished it, a great holiday read!

An inspiring tale - a must for traveller or teacher5
Will Randall's new book has seen him develop his literary style further since his unique first book "Solomon Time".
The self-doubting Randall's hilarious inner voice and his heart fill this exciting and passionate story of the author's time in an Indian slum.
Once again Randall seems to find himself at the whim of others as he appears almost incapable of making a decision! And yet, he is a man who does makes decisions that many of us would not.
This tale is a moving, funny and highly evocative story of Randall's successes and failures as finds that he cannot say "no" to a wild proposition to work in a slum school.
He writes with a beguiling honesty and a hilariously perceptive inner voice as he ponders his next move or contemplates his new surroundings. When Randall thinks too hard he usually makes the wrong decision; it is clear to the reader that he is a spontaneous character with an ability to infect others with his good will.
As a former teacher, Randall evokes the chaos of the classroom, be it in Bombay or Basildon, with an affection, and the odd moment of despair, that will be familiar to those of that noble profession!
This is a charming, witty and beautifully told account of an Indian Summer that will inspire any reader.
