Typically wonderful offering from Lori Foster
The book starts at an charity auction where frantic women are bidding for the batchelor of their choice. One man in particular stands out because he is refusing to get into the spirit of things, he isn't flexing his biceps or playing to the crowd. His eyes meet those of Brandi Sommers who is staring at him like a deer caught in the headlights. Neither one of them can look away and they make a connection. Brandi has made up her mind to get over the shadow that hangs over her life and really live. But she is not ready to go away for a five day trip with the man her sister has 'bought' her as a birthday present!

Security consultant Sebastian Sinclair is one of those male characters that the reader can fall in love with; big, sexy, patient and gentle. He comes from a poverty stricken background and is a self made man.

I love the way Foster combines romance and hot sex, and a serious subject in Brandi's past. A lovely read.
