Average customer review:Product Description
The world faces many environmental trends of disruption and decline. The scale and complexity of issues facing our fast-forward world have no precedent. With "Plan A", business as usual, we have neglected these issues overly long. In "Plan B 3.0", Lester R. Brown warns that the only effective response now is a Second World War-type mobilisation like that in the United States after the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Customer Reviews
A positive approach to a pretty depressing problem
This book is packed full of facts and figures. That means it isn't the most readable of books. But if you want to understand the problems facing the world primarily in energy terms, but also all the consequential problems that flow from that, this book is truly useful. I reckon a lot of politicians must use it as a primer: after I read it, it was notable how many sound bites seem to have been lifted straight from it. One of the nice things about the book is that it is positive - it isn't defeatist, and it does put forward seemingly achievable solutions for at least some of the problems.
A bold plan for a bold future.
THe world faces what most see as insurmountable challenges, yet here is someone bold enough to say 'lets stop the denial, lets start solving the issues...' An extremely good synopsis of the principle threats to humankind and the planet, followed up by practical and bold solutions. If you give a jot about the future, read this book, lobby your government to have courage, take action yourself and well... pray, pray that we get this right. Highly recommended.
