Charlie & Lola first disappointment3
My 5 year old grandaughter is a Charlie & Lola fanatic, and at the age of growing increasingly fiercly independent, I thought this would be a perfect read for her. Although it has the usual charm and wonderful easiness of all the Lauren Child books, when we got to the end, it felt like there was something missing, as if the book was somehow finished in a hurry. Unusually Jaz did not ask me to read it to her again and again as she has with all previous C&L books - I think that says it all really.

Very good4
My 4 year old is really enjoying this book- so much so that i am reading it everyday since buying in May. He starts smiling when Lola's imagination of being pirate saves Charlie and Marve. I think he enjoys this book amongst others.

5 Minute bedtime story4
This book was for my 4 year old son who also likes the tv version. There was plenty for both him and his 2 and a half year old brother to follow and have fun with. We have larger paged c & l books but for a nice story before bed it was a bargain.
