Get the Facts Right!1
I wanted a book that would give me a good overview of the commodities markets and explain some of the trading principles used. This book doesn't do it.

How can you trust a book that makes very basic errors; within the introduction the author makes reference to "ferrous metals and these include metals such as zinc". All the base metals including Zinc are Non-ferrous, which anybody that had traded them or studied the markets would know. Checkout the LME's website - the biggest exchange for base metals.

The description of 'Contango' and 'Backwardation', key areas for any commodities trader is very poor. They are simply describe as prices going up and prices going down; no mention of cost of carry or convergence yields - both absolute key areas.

This book is light weight, inaccurate and poorly written and not up to the usually 'For Dummies' standards.

I wish I could get my money back.
