From the Inside Flap
Trading today′s markets—including stocks, futures, or Forex—can be a challenging and difficult endeavor. But it is possible to achieve consistent success in this field, if you′re prepared to learn a complete trading plan from entry to exit.
In High Probability Trading Strategies, author and well–known trading educator Robert Miner skillfully outlines every aspect of a practical trading plan—from entry to exit—that he has developed over the course of his distinguished twenty–plus–year career. The result is a complete approach to trading that will allow you to trade confidently in a variety of markets and time frames.
With this book as your guide, you′ll quickly learn how to recognize high–probability trading opportunities, pinpoint exact entry and stop prices, and manage a trade until it′s completely closed out. You′ll discover how the four key factors of dual–time–frame–momentum, pattern, price, and time can guide you down the path to trading profits. As you become familiar with the proven strategies and techniques taught in High Probability Trading Strategies, you′ll also come to understand the type of market information you can use to make specific trade decisions and how to execute those decisions from start to finish.
Miner teaches in a practical, step–by–step manner until a complete trading plan is developed. While the ideas found here are essential to trading success, the best way to learn is by example. That′s why Miner has devoted an entire chapter—called "Real Traders, Real Time"—to trade examples submitted by his past students. In it, you′ll see how they apply the strategies taught throughout the book to markets around the world.
A companion video CD completes this comprehensive learning package. It′s not a word–for–word review of the material in the book, but rather an additional tool to illustrate more examples. With it, you′ll learn how to put high–probability trading strategies into practice, day by day and bar, by bar for many different markets and time frames.
Written with the serious trader in mind, High Probability Trading Strategies details a practical approach to analyzing market behavior, identify–ing profitable trade setups, and executing and managing trades—from entry to exit—that will allow you to both preserve and grow your capital. If you′re looking to make the most of your time in today′s markets, look no further than High Probability Trading Strategies.

Objective ideas to trade in your time
I have gone through the ropes training and trading. I do this for income so i need results.
This book is not a system and fad it teaches you to become a effective trader and you will have to put in your own work to get results.
This book provides an objective and effective method to trade any market in any time frame to suit anyone with the desire to earn income form the markets.
It clearly states entry exit and stop postions and if used correctly results in point gains rather than tick gains and helps maintain a full head of hair ! It teaches you discipline in money management and creation of a trading plan often overlooked by new traders.
I would thoroughly recommed it as an essential no nonsense guide to trading these volatile markets.
A must read for intermediate/experts traders
I'm a relatively new trader. I have read 20ish books so far and this is the first one that brought me to another level.
The first chapiters on multi timeframes and momentum strategies are priceless.
The second part on Elliott waves is relatively easy but in my opinion, you are not obbliged to use Elliott waves in your trading. The author is the creator of Dynamic Trading software and although he does not push hard to sell the software, it is clear that you cannot do many of the analysis explained by using a standard software.
The third part of the book talks about trade management: entry, stop loss, how to move the stop loss in accordance with what's going on and not by a predetermined strategy, and exits.
This is great as most of the books just give you an entry strategy and then you are left on your own.
Therefore, even if you are not going to use the strategy described (like me), you will benefit enormously by reading the first and third part.
No Hype, No Nonsense
This book is refreshing in its frankness. There are no guarantees in trading; just probabilities. Get the probabilities on side and you "might" make a success of this game. This book does exactly what it says on the cover; endeavors to show you how to get the odds in your favor and execute (and exit) trades accordingly. Easy to read; entirely logical in approach; this is a book that I have constantly referred back to again and again. And for those who are constantly frustrated at the seemingly arbitrary nature of Elliott wave analysis; read this book for that reason alone..... the best example so far of trying to pin a complex process to a few simple rules.
