Amazon.co.uk Review
If you have ever wondered why the latest fad diet doesn't work for you ... well, there are lots of reasons, mostly the fact that it's a fad diet. But it could also be that you are the wrong blood type for the kinds of foods the diet recommends. Peter D'Adamo makes a persuasive argument that your blood type is an evolutionary marker that tells you which foods you will process best, and which will be useless calories. He covers the entire range for each of the four blood types, from entrees to condiments and seasonings, and also makes type-specific exercise and lifestyle recommendations. --Jill Wagner

THIS BOOK SAVED MY LIFE5
Two years ago I had suffered from what I thought was Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/M.E. for approximately ten years. I thought I would have to cope with this illness for the rest of life. I'd had all sorts of tests at the hospital, blood tests, allergy tests, thyroid tests, you name it, the doctor sent me. All to no avail.

A friend took me to a complementary therapist who recommended that I read Peter D'Adam's book The Eat Right Diet. I went to a friend's bookshop and bought it the following day.

Amazingly, as I started reading, I kept thinking "yes, that sounds like me, yes, I can identify with those symptoms" etc.

For a long time I had felt thought that somehow it was as though I was poisoning myself. Reading the book confirmed my subconscious thoughts, because my diet was largely made up of all the so called "healthy foods", ie., pasta, potatoes, wholemeal bread (home made), along with a varied selection of fruits and vegetables. Also I was almost vegetarian. This could not have been worse for my type! Even the food allergy tests had not shown any problems with the very same foods which were making me ill, so beware!

I started on the diet immediately, trying my best to cut out all the foods which were considered bad for my type (O). Within days I began to notice a difference, an improvement in the way I felt! My headaches were less, I generally ached less, my brain began to "clear", I did not feel tired all the time. Words cannot describe how relieved I felt! In fact, one day when I realised I was beginning to feel "human" again, I just sat down and cried!

Before I started on the blood type eating regime, I really did think I was dying. My doctor had tried everything, even though at times I am sure he thought I was hypochondriac because no one could "see" anything wrong.

Within weeks I was able to begin exercising again, where before my body would not allow it. I began to look forward to getting up in the morning and my "depression" flew out of the window.

Without this book and the others in the series which I also have, I know I would not enjoy life and better health, as I do today.

Peter D'Adamo and his father should be given a medal and recognition for what they have achieved. On behalf of the many people thier books have helped I say "thank you" and to those of you maybe wondering "should I try it?", I say "the proof of the pudding is in the eating" but beware you're not eating the wrong pudding for your type!

Excellent, clear and easy to follow eating plan5
Eat right for your type is an excellent book detailing what foods will give you the best nutrition for your blood type. The books is interesting and informative in why different blood types can digest different foods better than others and gain more nutritional benefit. It is not a diet as such - you could use it as one and stick to it but the letter - or you could use it more as an advice book - advising you on what is best to eat and what best to avoid for a healthier lifestyle. The book also details foods that have a medicinal effect - or can help to prevent deseases or cancer.

I found the book excellent in all aspects and now realise why certain foods have different effects on me. Unfortunatley since taking it into work a week ago I have not seen it as everyone keeps borrowing it!

Do you want to feel on top of the world5
This book was recommended to me by a friend whose husband had diabetes, he lost five stones on it - he is Blood Group A, and is fully in control of his diabetes.

Being extremely overweight myself I looked at the book with my daughter, neither of us knew our blood group but we both worked out what we thought we should be by what was written in the book, we checked and Bingo we were both right.

I am an O, the cave man. I was a tea aholic before starting this way of life and drank gallons of black tea. Treat it like being a diabetic, if you are not allowed tea, wheat, pork etc lik me what the heck there are so many other things that you are allowed. This is a way of life that I wont change. By being careful on what you do eat the weight is dropping off , nearly four stones since January, I had tried every other diet imaginable. You can eat so much and the bonus is on day 3 if you are really, really good you get this energy burst. I am full of energy, I thought that my tiredness was due to the excess weight, but it isn't it is due to putting the wrong fuel in, imagine what would happen if you put Diesel in your unleaded Car, it would become sluggish and stop.

I could go on and on I feel like an evangelist, but please give it a go at first sight it isnt easy but work at it, you will soon find meals that you enjoy.
