Average customer review:Product Description
This photocopiable book is full of innovative, user friendly, exciting and unusual activities that promote creative thinking and problem solving skills for 7-9 year olds. The activities in this book are ideal for less intensive teaching times across the school year - at the beginning of term when a teacher wants to get to know the class or just when a teacher wants to do 'something different' to make pupils think 'outside the box'. The challenges in this book make an exciting change from the strictly subject-based lessons and would be ideal for supply teachers or LSAs. All the activities have been tried and tested in the classroom many times by the author who is an experienced teacher.

Fun
Great resource and I would say that most of the activities could be used with any age group in Key Stage 2.
The activities range from unusual creative thinking (e.g. making road signs warning of the hazards in a make-believe valley that is a tourist attraction)to problem solving with 'real life' situations (e.g.sorting out the litter problem in a made up village- with great prompts for the kids and the teachers. The activites are also easy to as preparation usually just means putting the page on the photocopier!
I used the 'Murder Mystery' with my class last week - kids were gripped!
I'd recommend this resource for anyone who wants to have fun with their class!
Box? What Box?
Molly Potter is a creative genius. Buy everything she writes. Your pupils will love you for it...AND...they'll be in a far better position to survive and succeed in 21st Century. Why? because they will be able to think creatively, solve problems and feel great about learning.
Creative fun
The activities in this book are about having creative fun with your class. I bought it looking for light relief activities to do during the week of QCA tests and this book was perfect. My class really enjoyed the activities I did with them and I am pretty sure I will use all of them at some point. I don't think i have ever seen a resource like this one before!!!
