A good introduction to graphology.
I am completely new to graphology and wanted to find out more about handwriting analysis after the school in which I work was featured on a television programme discussing the importance of handwriting. I found the first half of this book fascinating and couldn't put it down! I read half of it on the day it arrived and immediately began to look for clues in my own handwriting and that of those nearest and dearest to me. However, I soon found it difficult to maintain my interest as the second half of the book was more focused on case studies and work carried out by the author. Although it was interesting, I wanted more input on individual letters or symbols and would have liked this book to have included a dictionary of common graphological signs. I did finish the book, and I am intrigued and interested to know more about graphology, but I cannot see myself reading this again, although I might still dip in and out of it. Overall, I'd say it was a good first read regarding graphology.
Graphology interests
I have always been a sceptic about graphology. However, having lived in France where it is still very much apart of business, I decided to look into graphology.
For months I looked at books about graphology and I kept coming back to Sex, Lies and Handwriting. I looked up Michelle Dresbold on the internet and satisifed that she knew her work, I eventually decided to purchase Sex, Lies, and Handwriting as I felt it would be very informative to start out with. I decided to browse through it when I got it and didnt put it down until I finished it the next day. I was sorry it ended.
There were some exercises to do which gave me a hands on approach to graphology and which made me really think about writing. There was lots of stories involving graphology and crime which I enjoyed. Due to my area of work I find myself becoming more and more cognisant and sceptic of a 'good' and 'trustworthy' book and I feel that Michelle Dresbold's Sex, Lies and Handwriting was all that and more.
Some things I have questioned in the book but in general I have been won over by graphology. You might start to look at yourself and others differently.
