Product Description

This work offers tips and advice for taking the Graduate Record Examination, including subject reviews, six full-length exams, and practice questions and answers. The primary purpose of the GRE is to assist schools in selecting the best-qualified candidates for admission to general graduate programs. Schools also use GRE scores to determine eligibility for merit-based grants and scholarships, as well as teaching and research assistantships. The test assesses the verbal, maths, and analytical skills of applicants for graduate school.

Customer Reviews

Good Prep Material4
It is hard to quantify the value of this kind of preparation for standardized testing. However this book is certainly a great way to familiarize oneself with the GRE test. It is very thorough and highly accessible. I would recommend it for anyone preparing for the GRE.

It's got all you need.5
Excellent product. Don't think anything is missing in this book. This book got me the GRE results I needed.

Useful but not entirely relevant to CAT4
I found this book really helpful in preparing for the GRE. There were five practice tests which were representative of the actual exam and had well explained solutions. The Maths review was helpful and covered all the areas required for the test. The part of the book I found most helpful was the vocab list, all the words which came up in my GRE were included here. My only criticism would be that the book was more relevant to the pen and paper test than the CAT which most people take. It didn't offer any opportunities to practice the CAT format of testing. However, still a useful purchase, especially when used with the Kaplan book.
