Family court judge Olivia Lockhart has a failed marriage, a difficult relationship with her daughter, Justine, and a mother who has plenty of opinions and is always willing to share them. When Olivia denies a divorce in court, there is a frenzied reaction and, thanks to an article by Jack Griffin in the local paper, everyone's talking about it. Cedar Cove - people love it and sometimes they leave it, but they never forget it!

Customer Reviews

First in a great series.5
I discovered Debbie Macomber after picking up a copy "A Good Yarn" in a service station! She has a knack of writing about real, likeable characters and I always want to know what happens next. "16 Lighthouse Road" introduces you to the residents of Cedar Cove, which is based on her home town of Port Orchard near Seattle. My only fault with her books is that they are too short - you read them so quickly you can't wait for the next one. She writes one a year and they come out each September - I have just finished reading her latest "92 Pacific Boulevard" (book 9 in the series). I would recommend anyone to buy this book and get to know all the Cedar Cove residents.

lovely book5
This was a lovely book. I enjoyed reading it and the next 2 books (it is the 1st part of a trilogy) on holiday. It is easy reading and has some lovely characters that you gradually get to know. I will be reading more Debbie Macomber as soon as I can get some!!

Family meetings5
I have lost count of the number of Debbie Macomber books I have read to date but I feel as if I am visiting with family and friends whenever I dip into her books. I would love to hug some of the characters and bang the heads together of some of the rest of them who can't seem to see the wood for the trees. A good read seems to be assurred with every volume. Need I say more?
