Tender and sweet but realistic as well.
This is about Paige who is on the run with her three-year-old son from an abusive husband. She ends up sheltering in a pub run by Preacher a big, scary-looking man with a tender heart. It is well-written and has a traditional small-town feel about it with other well-developed characters. You get a great understanding about the characters emotions, even the abusive husband. I really enjoyed it and will try the others in the series.
