Enjoyable book in the Virgin River series
Enjoyable, however I thought that there was rather too much going on in this book. There are 3 romances in it and the introduction of one of them, Abbey and Cameron, the new doctor, I thought was a bit contrived in order to concentrate on the romance in the next book.

In the first 3 books in this series, Carr concentrated on the romance of the main two characters, whilst introducing us to secondary characters whose stories she later developed in later books. That works better for me.

The main romance here is between sheltered Shelby, aged 25, and ex-Blackhawk pilot Luke, 38, who is restoring a house and run-down cabins on the river. By lusting after Shelby, Luke feels that he is cradle snatching. Shelby has to contend not only with his reluctance re. age, but also his clearly stated fear of commitment to one woman.

The characters of Jack and Mel and the other couples are also included in this novel, so we get the feel of the Virgin River community yet again.
