Product Description

If only I could cook fish like this at home - this is a common lament heard in almost every seafood restaurant throughout the country. For the most part, fish and shellfish lovers have very little knowledge of what to do with these waterlogged critters in their own kitchens. Cooking with seafood is not difficult. This timely cookbook is loaded with more than 250 recipes. Divided by type of fish (flat and small fish; big, sturdy fish; shrimp; crab; oysters; scallops, etc.), it's easy to pick up whatever fish or shelfish is fresh at the market, bring it home, and find a recipe that's perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a more elaborate dish that will wow the guests at a weekend dinner party. "The Big Book of Fish and Shellfish" also includes recipes for quality canned seafood, including salmon, tuna, shrimp, crab, and smoked oysters.

the big book of fish and shellfish1
we have recently got into eating more fish, and thought we would expand our cook book library to include specialist fish cooking books. this is a great book....if your american! which we are not, what a dissapointment, this book turned out to be, it mentions types of fish we have never heard of, the measurements are vague the ingredients used in the recipies are readily available in most american shops but not in the UK. so dont waste you time and money on this book if you live anywhere else but the good old US OF A
