Customer Reviews

THE book on the Noble Eightfold Path5
I have read many books on the Noble Eightfold Path and this is the one that finally cleared everything up and allowed me to take the first exploratory steps on the path. Simply written and yet deep to just the right degree, if you've been hesitating on the brink of committing your life to the Dharma then this is the book for you. Even if you have no interest in Buddhism this book will improve your life just by reading it. Gentle and beautiful.

Clear, inspiring guidance from a great teacher5
After the excellent guide to Insight Meditation or Vipassana that is 'Mindfulness in Plain English' I can't think of a better subject for Bhante G to write about than the Noble Eightfold Path.
I found this book very helpful as it breaks down the Noble Eighfold Path into three main areas: wisdom, morality and concentration. At the end of each chapter Bhante G lists a number of key points so that you can clearly see what it is that must be done to follow the Noble Eightfold Path.
Of course following the Noble Eightfold Path is the journey of a lifetime, but Bhante G clearly shows that Right Mindfulness, Right Effort and Right Concentration are the all important tools that can lead us to experience Nibbana in this very life.
An excellent guide.
