About the Author
David Vaughan Icke, pronounced is a British writer and public speaker who has devoted himself since 1990 to researching "who and what is really controlling the world." A former professional football player, reporter, television sports presenter, and spokesman for the Green Party, he is the author of 20 books explaining his views. Icke argues that he has developed a moral and political worldview that combines New Age spiritualism with a passionate denunciation of what he sees as totalitarian trends in the modern world, a position that has been described as "New Age conspiracism." At the heart of Icke's theories is the view that the world is ruled by a secret group called the "Global Elite" or "Illuminati," which he has linked to The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, an antisemitic hoax. In 1999, he published The Biggest Secret, in which he wrote that the Illuminati are a race of reptilian humanoids known as the Babylonian Brotherhood, and that many prominent figures are reptilian, including George W. Bush, Queen Elizabeth II, Kris Kristofferson, and Boxcar Willie.

This is the one to read
Don't be put off by David Icke's later books; this is the one to read. Originally published in 1995 (and regularly updated), it was the first of the "heavyweights"... almost 500 pages stuffed with information... things that we were never taught at school (or university). You may not agree with everything that David Icke says (or indeed believe everything that is written in this book), but a lot of work has gone into this book, and it deserves to be read. You will certainly look at things differently after reading it.

Vital Information!
I definitely highly recommend "...And the Truth Shall Set You Free". Even though some of his ideas might seem a little strange and far fetched (remember, it must be taken with a pinch of salt), most of the information and the general message of the book cannot be dismissed. The subjects dealt with are at the base of todays society. Do not ignore it! It might make you slightly paranoid, but isn't the Truth worth it? Enough double-thinking, it's time for people to deviate from the norm and think for themselves! A life-changing book.

On the back of this book it reads: "The most explosive book of this century"...and I couldnt agree more!! Everyone should be aware of the information presented in this book. There are large bulks of our history of which we are only vaguely aware, due to the 'national security' excuses of our various governments...And I am most grateful for authors like the one of this book, for having the curiousity, time and resources to bring into the light part of the missing puzzles of history, governmental policies, and current events. This is NOT one of those books where the contents can be summed up as a crazed lunatic screaming "ITS A CONSPIRACY, MAAAN!!" No. The historical conclusions he draws are so well documented within the text, that the more disbelieving reader, can go check every fact for him or herself. Additionally, this is not a heavy book to read...At times you find yourself cracking up at the sarchasm and ironic comments. I recommend this book to everyone who is starting to realize that there is more to know, than what we are told. If you are searching for the truth, this book is a good place to start.
