HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Islington Crocodiles is an incredible collection of captivatingly twisted stories full of esoteric allusions. It is not my preferred genre (although this has changed now), but despite this, I could not put the book down. Meloy's words transported me from the mundane and introduced me to parallel realities whilst simultaneously increasing my vocabulary; an altogether enthralling experience. TTA Press have an obligation to publish more copies. I cannot recommend this book highly enough.

Yup, It's a goodie
Just to say i agree with the fellah below here, it's a fine piece of work, although I'm sure the story about the snow has some pharamaceutical undertones, something he appears to have missed. Anyway, i believe this is a debut collection, but this Meloy fellah is certainly a name to watch..... [probably a bit of a wierdo though!]

Paul Meloy has created a collection of stories like no other. Whether he's bringing Lenny Bruce back from the dead, taking you to a convincing future where snow doesn't happen any more, shooting pandas or introducing you to the 'autoscopes' you will be dazzled by his language, terrified by some of his characters, appalled by the depths of his imagination.
Truly one of the most extraordinary books you'll ever read - an absolute triumph. Miss out at your peril.
