Product Description

Sugar feeds Cancer: diet and supplements can starve tumours; and nutrition makes chemo and radiation more toxic to the tumour while protecting the patient. Nutrition changes underlying causes of cancer, improving outcome for cancer patients regardless of other therapies. The book was developed after working with over 500 cancer patients and organising three international symposiums on the subject. The information contained in the book is both scientifically backed with references and clinically proven in the hospital with patients. This information helps cancer patients to improve quality and quantity of life. The book has been translated into Japanese and Chinese and is being translated into Korean. It has become a home study continuing education course for registered nurses. This edition also contains a 72-minute audio CD version in response to the requests from tired cancer patients who said they needed an audio version of the book to get started.

Provides valuable guidelines in the fight against cancer5
The basic these of the book is that nutrition can significantly help in the fight against cancer. The basic diet outlined is a combination of vegetables, suppliments and herbal treatments, which are described in some detail. This is combined with the evidence both scientific (the results of controlled studies) and illustrations from the personal experience of Dr. Quillin.

The book is easy to read and digest given the quantity and variety of data presented, in particular in the first sections discussing the data indicating that nutrition can help fight cancer. Further it provides examples on how the diet can be modified to enhance the immune system and therefore defend the body against cancer. It is invaluable to the cancer patient who is looking to suppliment their conventional treatment and take control of their condition.

In addition to a book there is a CD for anyone who is unwell enough to read the book, which provides a good introduction to the therapy and basic nutritoinal guidelines wich can be followed in more detail when the patient is better.

Not a Light Read but Very Informative4
Benefits:
Has an easy to read synopsis at the beginning for those who cannot get stuck into a thick chapter
Has an audio CD for people unable to spend time reading
Extremely informative

Although:
Can be quite heavy reading and overly technical at some points.

The explainations are backed with research studies and it was confidence building. I read this with other material along the same lines, I found it reinforced alot of beliefs and I have confidence in the views expressed.
