The Trailblazer Series5
As a flight attendant I get to visit often and watch what people are reading on their way over. For a long time it was the Maui and Kauai Trailblazers that were popular among the foreign tourists. Now that the Big Island book is out it most definitely will draw attention too. I recently used it camping and B&B hopping and found their recommendations solid, candid and honest. For volcano touring it's a must as is finding the best snorkeling on the island. They don't skimp on photographs, maps, history or culture. I highly recommend these books.

Highly regarded by local islanders5
We waited until we arrived to buy a guidebook. The bookseller recommended this book over all the others. Big Island Trailblazer was our constant companion and took us to wild scenic overlooks and trails and quiet less popular sites. Our walks every day were heavenly and we're happy we opted for the island less traveled. This book also doubles as a snorkeling guide. Recommended, five stars.

travel guide junkie5
I never travel without a load of guidebooks in tow. This one I rate as the best one for getting oriented and knowing where you are at all times. Using the mile markers on the highway as guides made all the difference. I have no qualms about recommending this one.
