Cannot rate this highly enough!
Happened to pick up this book in a book store in LA en route to Maui. It was a reasonable price compared to Lonely Planet/Rough Guide and also had good maps and pictures.

On arriving in Maui, this book proved to be a total bible, infinitely better than other guide books. It defined in great detail exactly where the turtles are for snorkelling, where the crowds are not (very important!), the right time of day exactly to see which area of the island, spot on reviews for dining options and much more.

I cannot rate this book highly enough and genuinely believe it made the difference between an ok trip and the awesome trip that we had.

The Ultimate Guide to a Great Time on Maui
When you live in the UK and you plan a trip half way across the world to Maui, you want to have a great time. My wife and I had already done the research as to where we wanted to go - Maui was the place, and what a great choice it was.

The next step was to buy a guide to Maui, and can I just say, that "Maui Revealed" (having been the one we bought) was literally amazing in its "completeness" of how to have a great time in Maui.

The EXACTNESS of where to go, with whom to go, what car to hire, the best restaurants to visit, and everything that would concern you as a tourist going to an unknown location ensure that you will have the time of your life - it's as if you've lived there for years when you travel around Maui with this book at your side.

Maui Found
We have just returned from a fabulous fortnight's holiday in Oahu and Maui and used Andrew Doughty's 'Revealed' books on both islands. The little blue book is invaluable at getting you to the places that you really shouldn't miss and we also found it a great way of meeting people, as others with the book would come up and chat to us at key locations! The Maui book seemed to be the only one that people used on the island (it was certainly the only one we saw for sale whilst we were there) which could make some sites a lot busier than you might expect, especially on the road to Hana. An excellent book though - a must if you are visiting.
