Inspired
I am no kitchen wizard and I very rarely follow a recipe to the word unless I am entertaining, which is more of an annual event than a regular occurrance. However, I love eating basic food using fresh/natural ingredients and have an aversion to ready made meals. I have had this book for two days and I have taken ideas out of it to make two simple suppers which have been delicious. One of my better buys - highly recommended.

Great, easy to use, tasty Italian recipes
This is a great book for every day use. Simple easy to follow recipes - many tradtional Italian recipes that can be cooked easily & quickly on a week night. Some real staples that I use over & over again. Yes it is slightly American, but then Giada is an Italian American! A great book, especially for novice cooks & with the Italian influence encourages the use of fresh ingredients which can only be a good thing!

Rubbishy
I was very disapointed with this cook book. The recipes are 'Americanised' versions of Italian food and often are underminned by the compromises the author makes in the name of making the outcome more attractive to dumbed down tastes.

I suggest the huge number of other Italian books out there for those interested, this one is a real bomb.
