The practice of meditation takes us on a fabulous journey into the gap between our thoughts, where all the advantages of a more peaceful, stress-free, healthy, and fatigue-free life are available—but they’re merely side benefits. The paramount reason for daily meditation is to get into the gap between our thoughts and make conscious contact with the creative energy of life itself. In this uplifting book, Dr. Wayne W. Dyer explains the soul-nourishing meditation technique for making conscious contact with God, which the ancient masters have told us about.

About the Author
Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, affectionately called the “father of motivation” by his fans, is one of the most widely known and respected people in the field of self-empowerment. He became a well-known author with his bestselling book Your Erroneous Zones, and has gone on to write many other self-help classics, including Meditations for Manifesting, Staying on the Path, Your Sacred Self, Everyday Wisdom, and You’ll See It When You Believe It. Despite his childhood spent in orphanages and foster homes, Dr. Dyer, who has a doctorate in counseling psychotherapy, has overcome many obstacles to make his dreams come true. Today he spends much of his time showing others how to do the same. His latest titles include: Getting in the Gap and 10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace.
Customer Reviews
Useful if used in conjunction with other books
This is a good companion book and CD to Wayne Dyer's Power of Intention. My biggest criticism of The Power of Intention is that the reader is told about the usefulness of Japa meditation but unfortunately the author has not explained how to do it! This book covers all you need to know and is compact and simple enough to get to grips with the concepts quickly. I was surprised how small it was but don't be fooled it really does give you enough to get started with Japa meditation.
While I would recommend this book as a concise text on how to practice Japa it is really a starting point rather than a detailed programme. If you have goals in mind and are already practicing meditation in general then you will probably find this useful.
At last!
I have been trying to meditate for the past couple of months or so, listening to metronomes, counting my breath, trying to think of nothing at all (which I find about as hard as herding cats). But after playing this CD for 5 days I am finally experiencing moments where all of my thoughts disappear, if only for a second at a time. And it's getting better. If you are the type of person who would love to meditate but feel like you are somehow wasting your time, then this CD is definitely worth a try.
Wonderful Meditation
This book and CD is a marvellous way to be still and recharge the batteries of life. It takes a little while to be able to do exactly as Wayne is seeking you to do but don't be discouraged it all falls into place
