Product Description

For almost thirty years, ZAGAT has reported on the shared experiences of diners. Here are the results of the 2009 LONDON RESTAURANT SURVEY, covering over 1000 restaurants to fit all budgets. No matter the economic climate, London's appetite for lively dining destinations continues unabated, inspiring ever bolder ventures. For every notable closing, there's another restaurateur waiting in the wings, often joined by an expensive team of architects and designers and ZAGATSURVEY is always there to note the changes. So whether you are looking for the hippest restaurant, where to dine with celebs or find a London lunch bargain, the new Zagat's 2009 LONDON RESTAURANTS guide rates and reviews some of the city's best restaurants. The newest guide delivers Zagat's signature comprehensive coverage, rating each restaurant on appeal, decor, service and cost. Who will be the winner in the 2009 edition?

Customer Reviews

Not as good as in the States3
I have always used Zagat, but this is not as good a guide as the ones I've used in U.S. cities which always seem to be so good. So I'm a little disappointed but it's still a useful guide, especially when looking for a restaurant by location or type of cuisine.

Zagat - the new guide on the block4
Different from most restaurant guides - slightly quirky and less staid which reflects its American origins. But you do need to know the full name of the restaurant, otherwise you can struggle to find the entry. Excellent for quick reference when looking for a specific feature or cuisine. I think it would be easier to use if they put the key to the symbols and ratings on the inside cover.

Handy, if patchy, guide4
I like the Zagat's guides in that they are based on user reviews rather than 'experts'. This makes for relevant, if sometimes quirky, reviews of the more popular and iconic restaurants. There are several lists by area, type of restaurant, and other factors that can help to find a particular eating establishment you might be after.

Perhaps not for the hard core gourmand, but a useful guide nonetheless.
