A nice read.
A nice set of stories which shed further light on the character and talents of Ben Hogan, which come together to provide an undemanding, but nevertheless enjoyable read - an ideal holiday book. For those who are convinced that Ben Hogan found some secret that allowed him to strike the ball better than any other golfer of his generation there is food for thought here. For those who believe his success rate was the outcome of long and dedicated practise there is still insight into his single minded pursuit of success, as well as his frustration as his powers wained.
