A FIRST RATE JOURNEY
Reading this set of journals from President Trueman right through to the last days of the Clinton era, reminds one of the hope and pain that has been endured by the people of the United States and to a lesser extent, the people of the world. Fom the hope of the 1950s, through the great hope and endless pain of the 1960s throught to thr early 1970s. When the state of the presidents office was at its all time low post Watergate. through the ultra conseritive Regan era and the sad older Bush era though to the Bill Clinton years when the United States regained its pride and to a lesser extent a strong and fruitful ecomemy. These Journals fill in alot of the blank spaces that somtimes we dont hear about till many years later. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about how things couild have been.
