Aftershock
Once again KG MacGregor brings us the continuing story of Lily and Anna, the book take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions with some surprises to say the least.

a bit less breathless
Following on from the first book, this details the relationship between Lily and Anna without the drama of an earthquake or its aftermath. Having fallen in love, the couple now face the more mundane realities of life as a couple. Thus, overwork, the death of a parent and a fall into alcoholism provide the critical pushes to the storyline.

I enjoyed it, but it's a lot less soft focus than the original and is ultimately more sober as a read, dealing as it does with a the trials of a relationship without the breathless excitement of new romance and discovery. And the final coming together of the protagonists is quite contrived, if not physically impossible - a DOGFLAP?!

I like K G MacGregor generally, and this is well written, despite some of the plot issue.
