Necessary reading
To understand the ominous direction of US policy today, there are several MUST READ books. This 'novel' is one of them. The three others are The Bilderberg Group by Daniel Estulin , Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism by Naomi Klein, and The Israel Lobby by Mearsheimer and Walt. This thriller, packed with well-researched information about oil, politics, and nuclear 'defense' aimed at american citizens, is so readably intense that I was unable to put it down. Unfortunately, Alten's 'novel' may become reality all too soon.

Miss this book at your own peril!
Steve Alten has written a fast-paced thriller, that much is clear. I couldn't put it down. The plot rings very true and indeed makes this a tale of caution for all people. It deals with the reality of peak oil and the shady politics of Washington. Alten obviously hopes to make people look further than the official story of what happened on 9/11 and I hope he succeeds. The book is well referenced, cleary a huge study went into it. Alten is taking an awful risk releasing this book. Something to be proud of! A must read! Like Alten writes in his dedication - 'to those of us at home determined to safeguard those freedoms by demanding information and an open society, knowing that dissent and not acquiescence is the highest for of patriotism'. Hear, hear!

Please read this book
Anyone with an uneasy feeling about the events of 911 and the direction of US foreign policy under George w Bush should read this book.
Steve Alton is a very brave man!
